Determine Your Eligibility

All applicant organizations must qualify as tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code.

Applicants should determine if their organization or project would fit our mission statement and values by reviewing them on the homepage.

We do not fund the following:

Letter of Inquiry (LOI)

A Letter of Inquiry (LOI) is the first step in the funding application process. If you meet our eligibility requirements, we invite you to submit a letter telling us about your organization or project and explaining your request. Our board reviews the LOI's on a regular basis, but please allow up to 8 weeks for a response. The Foundation will send a notification either declining your request, or inviting you to submit a full grant application.

Priority of Funding

Priority will be given to applicants that primarily serve South Tacoma, Washington, and to organizations that focus on services that encourage and support education, empower families to improve their quality of life, or engage their communities by influencing a positive change.
